#NEWS We have now completed the acquisition of Distrupol, which will merge with our existing Engineered Materials business to form Omya Performance Polymer Distribution. Combined with our existing global footprint, the addition of Distrupol strengthens our pan-European presence. #NEWS Today Omya launches a new business specializing in global polymer distribution. The intention is that Omya Performance Polymer Distribution combines our existing global Engineered Materials distribution business with our first acquisition Distrupol and its strong presence in UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries (subject to regulatory approval and closing conditions). The new business will be led by industry expert Carsten Harms, whose vision matches our ambition to build a truly global polymer distribution platform, representing leading, innovative principals. #ThinkingofTomorrow in global polymer distribution delivers stability, reliability and growth in this important industry.

Last week, we welcomed a group of curious young talents to Omya for #FutureDay2024. Tasked with collecting information about how Omya’s products make people’s lives better, they enjoyed a scavenger hunt around our site in Oftringen, Switzerland. Days like this reflect our focus on #ThinkingofTomorrow, inspiring the next generation to use resources responsibly, developing their knowledge, and igniting their passion for minerals and chemistry. Thank you to all the participants and organizers who made the day such a success.
