Founded in 1939, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd develops and produces the world’s most unique aircraft: from the legendary PC-12, the best-selling single-engine turboprop in its class, to the PC-7 MKX and PC-21 and associated simulators, the market-leading systems for pilot training. The brand-new PC-24 is the world’s first ever business jet designed for use on short unprepared runways. The Pilatus team consists of over 2500 exceptional employees who make the company, which is domiciled in Stans, one of the largest and most innovative employers in Central Switzerland. The Pilatus Group also includes independent subsidiaries in the USA and Australia. Pilatus provides training for over 140 apprentices in various professions – job training for young people has always been a very high priority. 2024 was a very successful year for Pilatus. Despite ongoing challenges, we were able to hand over 153 aircraft to our customers thanks to continued high demand. The Pilatus Ski Club was founded in 1943 and remains a firm fixture at Pilatus today. Its enduring mission has always been to promote camaraderie among employees in a convivial, sporting setting. The club organizes numerous activities all year round. In the summer, for example, there’s a weekly three-mile run, hiking in the nearby mountains, and biking tours. In the winter, they enjoy sledding, snowshoeing, and even participate in avalanche and cross-country skiing courses. Pilatus Aircraft Ltd hat dies direkt geteilt
Commando Materieel en IT (COMMIT) schaft namens Ministerie van Defensie 8 nieuwe lesvliegtuigen en 4 vluchtsimulators met bijbehorende lesmiddelen voor de Koninklijke Luchtmacht (CLSK) aan. Het einde van de technische levensduur van de huidige 13 Pilatus PC-7 lesvliegtuigen komt in zicht. Het nieuwe toestel voor de Elementaire Militaire Vlieger Opleiding (EMVO) is de PC-7 MKX. Hiervoor werden vandaag op de Vliegbasis Woensdrecht de contracten getekend met het Zwitserse bedrijf Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Directeur Inkoop Rutger Burger van het COMMIT: “Dit contract is het resultaat van een krachtige samenwerking tussen behoeftesteller CLSK, COMMIT en de leverancier. Een samenwerking die hier niet stopt, maar tot aan levering en daarna in onderhoud gecontinueerd wordt.” Goed getraind personeel vormt de kern van het optreden van Defensie. Dat maakt het verschil tussen winnen en verliezen. Een gedegen opleiding vormt daarvoor de basis. This new training system will provide the Dutch Air Force with an integrated, cost-effective, state-of-the-art solution to meet its needs for basic flying training of its military pilots. Sustainable, climate-neutral, and efficient air travel. In pursuit of this goal, students participating in “Project H2” at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) are currently researching the feasibility of using a hydrogen-powered propulsion system in light aircraft.
