Sallaum Lines has announced executing a large-scale retrofit program aimed at enhancing the sustainability and operational efficiency of its fleet. This initiative is backed by a strategic partnership with Wärtsilä, a leading provider of advanced technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. The core of this retrofit program involves upgrading Sallaum Lines' vessels with the Wärtsilä EnergoFlow system and optimized propellers, designed to significantly improve propulsion efficiency while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. In a powerful collaboration with Marine Conservation Institute, Sallaum Lines is working hand-in-hand with local fishing villages and authorities to protect the vital ecosystems of Inhambane Bay, Mozambique. This partnership focuses on managing marine protected areas, enforcing sustainable practices, and educating local communities on conservation efforts.   As part of the Blue Sparks Hero initiative, Sallaum Lines has provided a critically needed patrol boat to support rangers in monitoring the bay and enforcing protection across twelve community-managed marine areas.
