Shining with viscose yarns - the success story of Wuyuxing Huazhiyu, Xuzhou City, China. Wuyuxing Huazhiyu New Material Technology Co., Ltd. started an ambitious journey in 2021 to upgrade their spinning mill with high performance machinery and automation. By installing 2 Saurer blowing-carding lines, 18 Saurer Autospeed roving frames, and 100 Saurer ZR 71 ring spinning machines, they set the stage for remarkable progress in the production of yarns from viscose fibres, including Lyocell and Modal. The impact was immediate and profound. Within a short period of time, Wuyuxing Huazhiyu experienced a 30% increase in productivity, a testament to the superior capabilities of Saurer spinning equipment. In addition, the quality of their products improved significantly, positioning them as market leaders. Textile end products made from their Siro compact yarns are now highly sought after, thanks to their low pilling tendency and the exceptionally soft feel of the fabric. Saurer was part of the #LCAS-2025 Summit in India. The Life Cycle Assessment Summit (LCAS-2025), held on 9-10 January at #SASMIRA, Worli, #Mumbai, was a key event dedicated to promoting #sustainability in the textile sector. In line with the objectives of the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), the summit brought together over 200 participants: textile experts, industry leaders and students. The audience responded well to the Saurer Group's insightful presentation by Mr Rajesh Kapoor, assisted by Mr Vetrivel Malayappalayam, on "Recycling on Rotor Spinning" and "Advancements in Ring Spinning". Several presentations on global life cycle management and sustainability efforts further underlined the importance of sustainable practices throughout the textile value chain. Esteemed speakers from Japan and Switzerland enriched the event with international perspectives on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), highlighting the power of global collaboration. The participation of delegates from central and state ministries reaffirmed the government's commitment to a sustainable future for the Indian textile industry. The Saurer Group kicked off the New Year with the International Spinning Technology Summit 2025 at our flagship manufacturing facility in China. The event brought together global leaders, partners and innovative spinning mills from across Europe, South East Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. With over 200 attendees, the event marked a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations in high-end, smart and green spinning technologies. This knowledge sharing is important to enable us and our industry partners to shape a greener, smarter and more circular textile industry together.
