The social and solidarity economy (SSE) is reshaping Africa's development landscape, offering inclusive and sustainable solutions to the Continent’s most pressing challenges. It includes organizations, enterprises, and initiatives that prioritize social, environmental, and community-oriented goals over profit. This rapidly growing sector is addressing Africa’s most urgent challenges through innovative and inclusive economic approaches. On 29 November, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the World Economic Forum, the African Union Commission, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Motsepe Foundation, and Africa Forward (by Catalyst 2030), is hosting a high-level roundtable on Unlocking the Social and Solidarity Economy in South Africa. This event will bring together leaders and experts from the public and private sectors, impact finance, civil society, and academia to explore pathways for unlocking the social and solidarity economy in South Africa. #SocialEconomy #SouthAfrica
