At Swiss PIC we celebrate Day of Photonics by adding a new colleague to our Team. We welcome our new RF engineer Fatemeh Qaderi, who brings a strong RF expertise from her work on developing RF/ mm-wave instruments and Terahertz devices, by her experience from EPFL

Since 2022 Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare has been a member of EPIC - EUROPEAN PHOTONICS INDUSTRY CONSORTIUM (the largest #photonics industry association in the world with more than 800 members) and we are proud to actively support our residents at Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare on their path to success, creating a unique innovation ecosystem for #deeptech companies of all sizes.   Our residents benefit from the excellent clean room infrastructure and the use of photonic systems in various applications at the large-scale research facilities at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut. In addition, the Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC) technology transfer centre at Park Innovaare will support the photonics community in Switzerland and beyond with integration services for micro-optical systems to help companies to quickly mature from lab demonstrators to products.

Finally! the building permit application for our 210 square meter cleanroom has been signed and sent of in septuplicate hardware copies. This is the beginning of one of Europe‘s biggest research center cleanromms dedicated prurely to photonic integration.

Hoisting the 700 kg Optical table in place to get our optical lab established. Probably this will be the only time we use the crane that came with the lab 😊 We are looking forward to testing your PICs here soon

Swiss PIC is on the way to EPFL! We are coming down for two busy days of technical discussions with companies and academic groups in the Lausanne cluster. Sorry we couldn't fit in everyone on this trip, please get in touch if you would like to meet us the next time we come down.
