What is regarded as an innovation today? In the past, Swiss innovations were technological ones, aiming at better, faster and more profitable production. These days, textile machinery manufacturers and service providers have some new benchmarks for innovation, in which the needs and demands of end-users define what must be offered, based on society’s comprehensive understanding of a better tomorrow. 12 Swiss Textile Machinery members talk about the challenges and the current solutions. This link https://lnkd.in/dMdaDm5K also leads to an interview with Swiss Textile Machinery Association Secretary General Cornelia Buchwalder about what sustainability means for its members. Singapore welcomes the world of textile technology Some textile professionals might recall the two ITMA Asia exhibitions held in Singapore in 2001 and 2005. Now, the industry is preparing to return to the visitor-friendly island state for ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, from October 28 to 31. And it looks to be a great choice, judging by the fact that exhibition space is already very nearly sold out! Singapore is ideally located, as a gateway to the huge textile manufacturing regions of Asia, as well as the Middle East. Organizers are expecting a surge of interest from textile and garment producers eager to check out the latest technology developments from the world’s leading suppliers of machines and systems. The 600 exhibitors are expected to attract an audience of over 30,000 potential investors. 24 Swiss companies will welcome visitors to see their innovations in Singapore: - AGM Jactex - Autefa Solution Switzerland - Benninger - Bluesign Technologies - Convacc - G. What a week! 🌍✨ Two planned Swiss Textile Machinery symposia in Mexico City and Charlotte kept us on our toes! The week kicked off in Mexico City, where we gathered for a delightful evening with the Swiss delegation at the Swiss Ambassador’s residence – thank you, Mr. Ambassador Pietro Piffaretti for hosting us. The symposium itself welcomed 150 attendees, with 12 member companies presenting. A special thank you to CANAINTEX and @Asotex and their presidents Rafael Zaga and Carlos Couttolenc for their insightful speeches. We’re excited to strengthen these relationships moving forward! Then it was off to Charlotte, where we had to adjust our plans due to Hurricane Helene. Though the storm disrupted much of the region, we were able to proceed with a wonderful pre-event at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, rooted in the Bechtler family's heritage as Swiss industrialists who built their fortune in the textile business. Thank you to Mr. Ambassador Ralf Heckner and Consul General Urs Broennimann for attending our event. Given the circumstances, the symposium was transformed into a focused B2B half-day event with 12 member companies – the right call for the situation. A huge thanks to all who made this week possible despite the challenges. Special thanks go to MBA. Ruben Araiza Diaz, Michelle Adamo and Kimberly Shulman for their continuous support. Looking forward to continuing these valuable partnerships! #swissmem AUTEFA Solutions Rieter Luwa Uster Technologies Bräcker Saurer Group Retech Aktiengesellschaft Benninger Group bluesign technologies ag STÄUBLI Jakob Müller Group Xetma Vollenweider GmbH Rotorcraft AG Heberlein Technology AG #ssm #maag

Alternative Symposium Programme due to Hurricane Helene As many of you know, Hurricane Helene has had a devastating impact on South and North Carolina and the surrounding areas. The aftermath is affecting many individuals in both their personal and professional lives, and we anticipate that this will also be the case for many of our members customers. In light of these difficult circumstances, we have made the decision, together with our member companies, to amend the programme for the upcoming Symposium. Our priority is to respect those who are facing significant hardship and to support their recovery and safety. While we in Charlotte were fortunate to escape the worst of the storm and normal operations resumed by Friday evening, we are fully committed to reaching out and providing assistance to those affected. For attendees who still wish to meet with Swiss textile machinery companies, we will keep the B2B area at the Westin Charlotte, USA, open in the morning of Tuesday, October 1 (from 9am to 12pm) to offer an alternative programme. All other items on the original programme will not take place. Participating companies in the B2B area: Autefa Bluesign Bräcker Heberlein Technology Luwa Maag Brothers Jakob Müller Rieter Rotorcraft Saurer SSM We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.
