🌍 The Earth Prize 2025: A Global Movement in Numbers We’re thrilled to share the regional representation for this year’s edition of The Earth Prize. This participation highlights the growing commitment of young people around the world to addressing pressing environmental challenges. For the first time, we will be recognizing 7 Regional Winners – one from each region (Africa, Asia, Central & South America, Europe Middle East, Oceania & Southeast Asia, North America) – showcasing the innovative and diverse solutions emerging from across the globe. Here’s the regional breakdown of participating schools: 📍 Asia: 30.5% 📍 North America: 23.3% 📍 Middle East: 13.2% 📍 Africa: 12.7% 📍 Oceania & Southeast Asia: 8.1% 📍 Europe: 7% 📍 Central & South America: 5.2% We look forward to seeing the ideas and solutions these young changemakers bring forward and the impact they will have. 🌍 New Year. Same (Sustainable Development) Goals. As we step into 2025, it’s worth reflecting on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - a set of 17 global priorities adopted by the United Nations 10 years ago. These goals represent a universal call to action to: ✅ End poverty ✅ Protect the planet ✅ Ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030 The SDGs remind us that progress in one area depends on advancements in others, and achieving them requires collective action. From governments and businesses to educators and young innovators, everyone has a role to play in tackling these challenges. At The Earth Foundation, our mission and goals are deeply inspired by three critical SDGs: 1️⃣ SDG 4: Quality Education  2️⃣ SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities  3️⃣ SDG 13: Climate Action The creativity, expertise, and innovation of youth are key to achieving these goals. 🌍 An Inspiring Experience with the Global Earth Competition! 🌱 I had the honor of Leading the events of introducing the Earth Prize Competition the fourth edition organized by The Earth Foundation and launched earlier this September. This event was a remarkable opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with amazing individuals, many of whom discovered new concepts and methods they hadn’t encountered before. The initiative contributed to the development of young people by gaining creative thinking, project ideas, teamwork, and innovative approaches. We’re excited to spotlight Cassidy Wilson, one of our outstanding mentors supporting this year’s participants. A graduate student at The University of Tampa specializing in Social & Emerging Media, Cassidy brings her expertise in sustainable tourism and conservation marketing to help students refine their ideas for impactful environmental solutions. 💡✨ In this video, Cassidy encourages participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to be mentored by over 50 university students this year.
