Prof. Flávio Codeço Coelho, one of our funders and head of our Data Science Division, delivered an inspiring presentation highlighting Brazil's forecasting initiative for arboviral diseases based on the impressive InfoDengue (https://lnkd.in/dNqgQhFc) and Mosqulimate projects. The webinar showcased predictive modeling experiences from Colombia and Brazil, illustrating how these models support decision-making for mosquito-borne diseases. We encourage everyone in our network to watch this insightful webinar. https://lnkd.in/eg3ptmtW

From October 14 to 17, The GRAPH Network and the University of Geneva were honored to participate in the BBNT Initiative Workshop in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, alongside representatives from Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo. Our representative, Sabina Rodriguez Velásquez, engaged in valuable exchanges focused on enhancing health systems through collaboration, particularly in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. The workshop showcased the strength of South-to-South collaboration, where countries shared their best practices, discussed challenges, reviewed outcomes from the last three years, and proposed improvements to their health systems. We look forward to further collaborating in this initiative to support their efforts in capacity building, especially in data analysis through the GRAPH Courses. By providing the necessary knowledge and tools, we aim to empower health leaders with the skills needed to make data-driven decisions and improve public health outcomes across their countries. A special thanks to Casimir Manzengo Mingiedi for extending us an invitation and allowing us to collaborate on this wonderful and impactful initiative. #PublicHealth #SouthToSouthCollaboration #CapacityBuilding #DataAnalysis #TheGRAPHNetwork #BBNTWorkshop #TheGlobalFund #WHO

👌Step 1: build a choropleth map with R 💪 Step 2: add a histogram on the side 🔥 Step 3: use ggiraph to connect them on hover! I love plotly a lot. But ggiraph is underrated in my opinion. It offers more flexibility and can really push your graphs to the next level! ♥️ Full code: https://lnkd.in/eGM6KkTH ------ Choropleth map by Vinicius Oike Reginatto Switch to ggiraph together with Joseph Barbier

One of our R Masterclass alums has been posting great plot panels for tidy tuesday, along with code! Follow him for ggplot tips.
This is my submission for TidyTuesday week 39, focusing on the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) dataset, I examined the gender distribution over time. Although there has been a consistent increase in female participation throughout the years, achieving complete gender parity remains a substantial goal.
