TwingTec is developing the next generation of wind energy technology: TwingPower. By using a tethered wing or Twing, the stronger winds at higher altitudes can be harvested. Without a tower or foundation the system is easy to transport and can be setup or demobilized without a crane, a key advantage for remote off-grid locations. TwingTec’s first product, the TT100 is a containerized mobile wind energy system producing clean electricity cheaper than fossil fuels. Fully autonomous and easily deployed, the TT100 offers significant diesel savings as well as uninterruptible power supply (UPS) functionality.

Traditional wind turbines have revolutionised the way we think about and use clean energy 🌍💨. Yet, their deployment comes with a significant spatial footprint 🛤 and logistic challenges. The need to space turbines apart – sometimes up to ten rotor diameters – to mitigate turbulence and maximise efficiency as well as logistic constraints has limited where and how densely wind farms can be constructed 🏞⚙️. TwingTec's technology will be able to generate up to twice the energy per area compared to conventional wind turbines 🚀💡. How? Our systems can be installed much closer to each other without the turbulence interference that large rotating blades produce 🌀🔧. In addition, the compact nature of the technology allows for easier transportation to more difficult to reach sites. This compact installation not only maximises land usage but also opens up new locations for clean energy generation 🌆✨.
