Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 16 students from Kantonsschule am Burggraben St.Gallen, Switzerland, to our Geneva office! As part of their annual visit to International Geneva, the students took part in an SDG quiz, a speed networking session with UNITAR professionals, and a real-world problem-solving challenge. This marked the sixth time that students from the school visited UNITAR, reflecting a strong tradition of engagement with international affairs. Through their discussions with UNITAR staff, they gained valuable insights into careers in the UN, as well as the key skills needed to work in international organizations, such as critical thinking, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication. Ce jeudi 20 février 2025, un atelier national d’information et de partage s’est tenu à l’auditorium du Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Transition Écologique. Objectif : renforcer l’éducation au changement climatique dans le cadre du projet régional en Afrique de l’Ouest et au Sahel. Ce projet vise à créer une communauté de connaissances et de bonnes pratiques pour mieux faire face à la menace climatique. Il repose sur une coopération multi-sectorielle, garantissant une meilleure cohérence et synergie entre les acteurs. L’atelier a rassemblé une diversité de parties prenantes – représentants gouvernementaux, société civile et experts – pour échanger sur le document du projet, en comprendre les objectifs et discuter de la feuille de route du Sénégal. ✅ Une étape clé pour un engagement renforcé en faveur de l’éducation climatique ! __________________ On Thursday, February 20, 2025, a national workshop for information sharing was held at the auditorium of the Ministry of Environment and Ecological Transition. The goal: to enhance climate change education as part of the regional project in West Africa and the Sahel. This initiative aims to build a community of knowledge and best practices to effectively address the climate crisis. It is based on multi-sectoral cooperation, ensuring greater coherence and synergy among stakeholders.
