A special thanks to those involved in the work on the multigenerational workforce from the start, as part of the Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) initiative, which merged into our WBCSD Equity Action work at the start of 2024. Throughout the year, we achieved various milestones including the release of OECD's report on ‘Career Paths and Engagement of Mature Workers’ (https://lnkd.in/epP6XN5w) and the organization of two share-out sessions leading up to the newest report, focusing on Job Shadowing and Intergenerational Monitoring. 🔥 Around 80% of industrial process heating applications source their energy from fossil fuels. This makes process heating by far the largest contributor to industrial carbon emissions 🏭 💡 On December 5, WBCSD will release a Solar Thermal Navigator Brief, which raises awareness of solar thermal as a renewable heating solution. Solar thermal has huge untapped potential, and like other sustainable heating technologies, is advancing rapidly. Meeting net zero targets requires electrification of transport at an unprecedented pace, as well as a steep increase in transport efficiency 🚛 🚌 Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) is a recognized solution for more efficient and user-centric mobility, and involves digitally integrating transport modes into one service platform.
