Empowering young people so they can transform their world for the better.
Info
Founded in 1844, the World Alliance of YMCAs is the oldest and largest movement for young people in the world. The World YMCA, based in Geneva, Switzerland, supports approximately 120 national YMCAs and four regional Alliances across the globe. The YMCA empowers young people, aiming to provide them with safe spaces and opportunities to take an active role in transforming their communities. Collectively, the YMCA Movement reaches about 65 million people every year. In July 2022, YMCAs around the world adopted YMCA Vision 2030, our first-ever collective Mission and Vision. Together, we are working to positively impact Community Wellbeing, Meaningful Work, a Sustainable Planet and a Just World for young people and our communities.

🌍 United by YMCA Vision 2030, YMCAs worldwide make a difference every day—empowering young people and communities with skills, supporting refugees, improving health and protecting our planet. We showcased eight films highlighting this work at the YMCA Accelerator Summit in Mombasa in October 2024. We have been sharing each one of these films over the past weeks. Here we spotlight the F2 GreenPathy Project. 🤝 YMCAs involved: Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong ✨ Impact: Since 2023, over 50,000 fresh flowers have been recycled into dried flower products, empowering and training disadvantaged mothers for re-employment. All profits are reinvested to support YM Fleur’s programmes to support women and their families. 👉 We've shared highlights here - watch the full film on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/gre6_S5F

We remain dedicated to providing care and building pathways toward recovery. May peace and harmony prevail wherever conflict and war arise.

Excellent observations from Mayank Dhingra, who shares how HP and the YMCA are working together to accelerate digital equity worldwide and the power of partnership.
🔻Let's listen to Mayank Dhingra, Senior Education Business Leader at HP, showcasing his views on the strong partnership between HP and World YMCA, as we continue accelerating digital equity in the YMCAs across the world. 💡The Opening of the Digital Community Hub at YMCA in Slovakia was a great experience and an opportunity to connect with leaders from the movement and partner, as well as establish the base for advancing our digital initiatives for youth and communities in Europe. #ymcaHP
