Introducing groundbreaking nutrition solutions for ♀️ ⚕️ women’s health! 🚼We are expanding our range of maternal nutrition products designed to support fertility and pregnancy. These products are great examples of how Nestlé R&D translates 🔬 cutting-edge science 🧬 into innovations that meet specific health needs. ➡️ For example, we will launch MATERNA PRE, a patented nutritional blend that has been shown to reduce time-to-conception, as well as improve women’s nutrition status when taken during pre-conception. This is our first innovation that builds on the results of the NiPPeR study, which followed over 1,700 women from preconception though to post-birth to test the impact of a novel nutritional solution. More products that leverage this study will follow later. ➡The new MATERNA nutrition solutions will be available starting in Latin America in 2025, with plans to expand into Asia. NESCAFE Fusion system delivers a personalized coffee experience to Nestlé Professional consumers worldwide 🤩 Nestlé Professional, our business-to-business and out-of-home expert, is expanding the NESCAFE Fusion system, a range of coffee machines that offer a wide variety of personalized drink options, to an additional 60 markets.🗺️ The range was developed by our R&D teams in Orbe, Switzerland, by combining system expertise and coffee know-how to offer a wide variety of personalized drink options, from hot or cold, using whole roasted beans or instant coffee, with dairy or plant-based milks for white cups. Businesses and other out-of-home customers, can choose from 14 different coffee machine models based on their size, cup capacity, counter space and consumer needs. Zenon Mandralis, Head of R&D for Nestlé Professional explains, “Our R&D experts leveraged their expertise in machine and coffee development to design this innovative system with careful consideration of key parameters such as coffee extraction, temperature-pressure control, milk frothing, and the sustainability of the machine materials. Our goal was to ensure the delivery of a high-quality customized cup of coffee, whether it’s hot or cold, made with espresso or filter coffee, with a choice of milk, all accessible through an intuitive touchscreen interface.” The NESCAFE Fusion machines use up to 30% recycled plastic and can achieve energy savings of up to 60% compared to previous machines. 🐶 Do you know your dog’s biological age? 🧬 Keeping our 🐾 furry friends 🐾 healthy and happy means not just knowing their age, but also understanding how they’re aging. 🧮 Nestlé scientists have developed an algorithm to determine a dog’s biological age and predict its overall health trajectory. Biological age is an important indicator of overall health for people and pets. It refers to how the body has functionally aged compared to chronological age, or age based on birthdate. While we can’t reduce chronological age, we can take steps to improve biological age, such as making changes to lifestyle habits. The algorithm was developed by analyzing existing research data and takes into account changes in certain routine blood markers, fasting glucose and kidney functions that together can predict biological age. ⚕️Understanding a dog’s biological age can enable pet owners and vets to identify and proactively manage their health. The shift to more sustainable food systems is essential to ensure our supply chains and mitigate challenges like population growth, geopolitical uncertainty and climate change. In a recently published article, Nestlé scientists examine the value that food processing can bring in achieving that sustainable shift. Nestlé 👨🏼🍳R&D chefs 🧑🏾🍳 are inspiring tasty, trend-based innovations! 💡 Embedded in our global R&D network, our chefs collaborate closely with product teams to create new recipes, prototypes and culinary innovations. They explore new flavors and tastes, while incorporating local ingredients from different world cuisines. 🍽️ In the US, Nestlé chefs and food innovation experts worked with celebrity chef Ming Tsai to launch Mings frozen meals. This range offers consumers authentic and tasty meals that can be easily prepared at home, such as Spicy Dan Dan Noodles coated in a Szechuan-style red sauce. Nestlé chefs and culinary experts also worked with renowned hot sauce brand Tapatío to translate classic Mexican recipes into a delicious new range of frozen meals. 🥘 In Europe, Nestlé chefs and experts leveraged their knowledge of local cuisines and cooking methods to help craft our new Maggi Magic Asia range of sauces. 🌍 Nestlé’s R&D chefs include a diverse group of more than 35 chefs from 13 different countries.
