Celebrating 10 Years of The Lost Food Project & 4 Years of Growth in Switzerland! 🎉💚 What started as a small group of friends in Malaysia 10 years ago has grown into a global movement—and here in Switzerland, we are proud to be part of this journey. While TLFP Malaysia marks a decade of food rescue, environmental action, and community support, we take this moment to celebrate the shared mission that connects us all—transforming surplus food into meaningful meals, reducing waste, and creating positive change. A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Every meal rescued, every kilo of CO₂ reduced, and every volunteer hour given makes a real impact. ✨ Here’s to 10 years of making a difference—and many more to come! 📢 Want to be part of the change? Fresh Paint, Bigger Impact 🎨💚 A HUGE THANK YOU to today’s amazing volunteers—Max, Mudit, and Pippa—who dedicated their time to helping improve our warehouse as part of their CAS and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award projects! With fresh paint and a little teamwork, they’ve helped us create a brighter, more efficient space to store and distribute rescued food to those in need. A special shoutout to Suzanne Mooney MBE and Jem for getting hands-on and making this a true team effort! 👏✨ Volunteering is not just about giving time—it’s being part of something bigger. As 2024 draws to a close, The Lost Food Project celebrates a successful year of service and impact in our mission to combat food waste and hunger. Through the efforts of our donors, volunteers, staff and supporters, we've made remarkable strides toward creating a more sustainable and equitable future. Our 2024 achievements showcase the power of collective action: We rescued and distributed an extraordinary 2 million kilograms of surplus food, providing more than 5.7 million meals to those in need. This effort not only nourished communities but also prevented 5 million kilograms of CO2 equivalent emissions from impacting our environment. Our reach expanded significantly, extending into new PPR communities and scaling up operations in Johor. Working alongside partners, we brought vital support to remote Orang Asli communities and provided critical assistance to the East Coast flood victims. The Pet Food Project continued to ensure that our mission encompasses all members of the community, including animals in need. Our participation in the Global Foodbanking Network Summit positioned Malaysia on the international stage while providing valuable insights to enhance our operations. Through partnerships with over 150 foodbanking organisations, PPRs, charities and NGOs, we've created a strong network that efficiently channels nutritious food to communities where it's needed most. None of these achievements would be possible without our community of supporters. We extend our deepest gratitude to the volunteers, funders, donors, team members and committee members who bring our vision to life. Looking ahead to 2025, our commitment to rescuing food, reducing waste, and nourishing communities remains stronger than ever. Diverting surplus food from landfills helps feed those in need while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, directly contributing to the fight against climate change. Together, we can feed the hungry, not the landfill.

This week, our little elves have been hard at work spreading gratitude and Christmas joy! 🧝♀️💌 They’ve been out and about delivering special Thank You cards to our incredible partners in the Vaud region. Your support helps us reduce food waste and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. 💚🍽️ Together, we’re creating a more sustainable and caring community. Thank you for being part of this journey! 🎄
