Maike Corbett is a popular American food blogger who loves creating easy and delicious dishes, celebrating traditional comfort food, and adding a dash of cheer to the kitchen.

Before entering the blogging world, Maike had worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade. During this time, she had the opportunity to get to know and learn from some amazing chefs.

In 2017, Maike started blogging and went through what she now fondly remembers as her blogging apprenticeship. In 2019, she took what she had learned, focused on her passion for food, and launched Cheerful Cook.

While growing Cheerful Cook, Maike was able to combine her passion for creating and sharing recipes, photography, and writing.

Today, Cheerful Cook is well-known for easy recipes, German cuisine, and American comfort food.

Maike takes great care to break down each recipe into simple, easy-to-follow steps to make sure that they are accessible to new and intermediate cooks alike.

And while she loves cooking from scratch, Maike also tries to balance this with the need to keep things simple. You’ll find some old classics brought back to life, like our Last-Minute Canned Pumpkin Soup.

When she’s not stirring the pot or penning a new recipe, she enjoys quality time with her husband, dabbles in drawing, and loves to travel.

She’s also a devoted dog mom to their cockapoo, Riley. Maike has been featured in numerous media outlets, including the AP Wire.
