    Product Consumer Service Enablement

In the evolving landscape of mobile payment, which do you prefer and why: Mobile QR Payments or NFC Payments? * My personal point of view* Both have their advantages and it depend on the context of use. Hybrid approach could also be viable, allowing businesses to cater to various consumer preferences and technological capacities. **QR Payments:** 1. QR codes are easy to implement and don't require special hardware, often work with a simple camera scan. 2. Easy to be adopted 3. Relies heavily on the security of the app handling the transaction (can be vulnerable to phishing, QR code spoofing, etc) 4. Lower implementation costs **NFC Payments:** 1. Seamless transaction experience, simply tap your device to a payment terminal. 2. Transaction is secured, NFC implement robust encryptiin standards (secure element and tokenization technologies) 3. More user-friendly, faster and convenient payment experience 4. Suitable for segment that require speed, security and user experience and satisfaction eg. Public transport 5. Higher implementation cost (NFC compatible hardware/device, universal standards and integration with industry players, extensive user awareness campaign, etc.) #NGP2024 #FinTech #MobilePayments # NFC #QRPayments #PayNet

Why aren’t border agencies unlocking the full potential of passenger data for border security and seamless travel? Despite more than a decade of UN Security Council Resolutions encouraging the use of passenger data like interactive API, many nations are still falling behind. What’s holding them back? Join Andy Smith at the Border Management and Identity Conference for his session on “The effective use of passenger data to pre-clear travelers.” Andy will challenge the status quo, exploring how countries already using these solutions are driving security and efficiency gains—and how new innovations are simplifying adoption for carriers and governments alike. Let’s rethink what’s possible for global travel. Don’t miss this conversation! https://ow.ly/Y97Z50UfEWK #BorderSecurity #PassengerData #FutureOfTravel #Innovation

I recently had the opportunity to attend an insightful conference on Next Generation Payment 2024 organized by APSCA. The event was a fantastic opportunity to explore the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in the payments industry where thought leaders and innovators from companies like Google, Touch 'n Go Group GXBank, PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia),GCash, Ant International & Wise gathered to discuss the future of digital payments. Key takeaways from the conference: Innovation in Card Payments & Digital Wallets: The shift toward cashless transactions is accelerating. Rise of Mobile Wallets: Mobile wallets are increasingly popular for peer-to-peer and contactless payments. Digital Payments in Asia: Asia is leading the charge with mobile payment adoption, particularly in China, India, and Southeast Asia. Combating Fraud in Digital Payments: As digital payments grow, security remains crucial. AI-driven fraud detection, biometrics, and multi-factor authentication were emphasized. ESG in Digital Payments: Sustainability in payment solutions is not just about reducing paper usage but also fostering financial inclusion. #DigitalPayment #Fintech #DigitalTransformation #FintechAsia #Cardpayments #NGP2024
