From Karl Süss to SUSS – a journey through time. (2/6)    What began in 1949 as "Karl Süss KG" in Munich has evolved over the decades. As we expanded globally, the company rebranded in 2001 from Karl Süss to SUSS MicroTec, symbolizing our growth into a full-service provider for the semiconductor industry.  Recently, we did it again: SUSS MicroTec, from now on, is SUSS. Do you remember the early days of semiconductor technology? Or maybe you were part of the journey! Let’s travel back to where it all began. ⤵️ In 1949, Karl Süss opened a small sales office in Munich, specializing in microscopes, cameras and lab equipment. Before long, Karl Süss KG built an excellent reputation in scientific circles, known for top-notch service and maintenance of optical devices. Then came 1963, a true turning point! 🟢 Siemens knocks on our door: In 1962, Siemens approached us with an exciting challenge – to develop a tool for thermo-compression bonding in transistors. 🟢 A breakthrough innovation: In 1963, we unveiled the world’s first-ever mask aligner, the SUSS MJB3. This pioneering technology opened the doors to the semiconductor industry, laying the foundation for decades of innovation. New chapter, new look: Meet the new SUSS. (1/6) ⤵️ To celebrate 75 years of innovation, we’re unveiling a fresh, bold look that honors our history while propelling us into the future. Today, we take a closer look at our logo.   Our new logo combines our new brand name with the stylized initial letter S, carved out of a hexagon with six equally long sides, and conveys the utmost precision.   Two strong elements that are simple, yet not plain. 💬 How would you describe our new logo in one word?
