With €120,000 available, Penfolds are looking to award grants to individuals, businesses, not-for-profits, and community groups in France. Last week, we were pleased to mark the start of the inaugural Australia-China Winemaker Immersion Program. As the lead industry partner, we’ve collaborated with Australian Grape & Wine and the China Alcoholic Drinks Association (CADA) to create the program, with support from the South Australian Government, industry, and leading academic institutions. Four talented Chinese winemakers – Luna, Miao, Ding and Gigi – arrived in South Australia for a hands-on vintage experience, exploring some of our best-known vineyards, innovative production methods, and world-class winemaking and wine tourism offerings. To celebrate our partnership between Squealing Pig and the National Pickleball League, our Melbourne head office team took advantage of Summer Hours (an early knock off on the Fridays during summer) to hit the courts for the 'Battle of the Paddles' at The Jar, the city’s first dedicated indoor pickleball centre. Congratulations to Mickles Pickles (pictured below 👇) who claimed victory, with Backhanded Brilliance close behind as runners-up. Pickleball continues to grow, with an estimated 100,000 players across Australia and more courts set to open in 2025. National Pickleball League CEO Ron Shell sums it up: “It’s accessible, fun, and easy to pick up in minutes.” The day on the court was a perfect blend of sport, fun, and celebration as Squealing Pig’s Summer of Love continues! #PeopleOfTWE #Pickleball #SquealingPig #SummerOfLove

Over 100 contestants brought skill, speed, and precision to the vineyard, proving just how much expertise goes into every vine. It’s an honour to celebrate the hardworking farmworkers who make Napa Valley’s world-class wines possible.
