Zijin Mining to Acquire La Arena Copper-Gold Mine in Peru On November 7, Zijin Mining announced that it has made an offer to acquire 100% of the La Arena Copper-Gold Mine in Peru from Pan American Silver Corp. The La Arena project consists of two phases, with La Arena II being the core asset, containing 2.785 million tonnes of copper and 196.5 tonnes of gold resources. The acquisition includes a US$245 million upfront payment, a contingent US$50 million upon commercial production, and a 1.5% net smelter return royalty on gold produced. Zijin’s research team believes that the La Arena project, located in a well-known mineralization belt with potential for further expansion, is a valuable opportunity due to its significant copper and gold resources. The project benefits from strong infrastructure and a long mine lifespan, offering promising economic returns. Additionally, the area has a rich mining history, with several active mines nearby. Zijin plans to maintain and strengthen relations with neighboring communities and contribute to local economic and social development. For more info: https://lnkd.in/dtybws89

"Zijin Group's 'Deep Dive' Training Unites Overseas Employees for Cultural Exchange and Professional Development" From August 20th to 31st, Zijin hosted the ”Zijin Deep Dive” 2024 International Employees Training Program at our headquarters in China, bringing together 48 employees from global projects for two weeks of focused learning and exchange. Participants explored key topics such as environmental and ecological management, technological innovation, and ESG initiatives. Tailored to their roles, the training included interactive sessions with various functional departments. Cultural exchange was also a key component, reinforcing our dedication to a diverse and inclusive global workforce. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and collaboration, driving innovation and sustainability across all our operations.

Protecting Bor Lake: Serbia Zijin Copper Takes Action! In order to contribute Zijin's efforts in raising public environmental awareness, as part of the company's "Environment and Safety Month" series of activities, Serbia Zijin Copper organized "I Love Bor Lake" cleanup activity. On the day of event, about 60 students from local schools volunteered to participate in it. Despite the scorching sun, students showed remarkable dedication. Some ventured into the bushes to pick up bottles, plastic bags, food wrappers, and cigarette butts. Others used wooden sticks to retrieve plastic bottles floating on the lake, while some patrolled the beach, reminding visitors to take their trash with them and pointing out the location of garbage bins. By the end of activity, over 50 kilograms of trash were collected. Bor Lake is one of the most popular resorts near Bor City. As summer arrives, the lake attracts a steady stream of citizens and tourists who go there to relax and escape from heat. However, this influx also brings littering, which mars the scenic beauty of the lake. Moving forward, Serbia Zijin Copper plans to organize more environmental volunteer activities, hoping that more volunteers will participate in. Let's join forces to protect Bor Lake's beauty and create a cleaner, greener future for everyone!
