A digital milestone for London commuters 🚆 🇬🇧 We’re excited to announce that all commuter trains on the Great Northern route between Moorgate and Finsbury Park are now controlled by our digital signalling technology under the European Train Control System (ETCS). This digital solution, achieved in partnership with Network Rail and GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway), enhances safety and efficiency by providing real-time movement information directly to drivers and constand speed supervision of the system. We are proud to be part of this transformative project, with our pioneering technology a central part of our mission to #TransformMobilityForEveryone.
🚄 Commuter trains now all controlled digitally on City of London route Another milestone for ECDP as ETCS is now controlling every single train that commuters catch on the GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) route from Finsbury Park to Moorgate in the City of London. Ed Akers, Network Rail’s industry partnership director for #ECDP, said: “This is a great achievement on what will become the first commuter railway in the country to operate without any physical signals. I’d like to thank all the signallers, drivers, engineers and planners across our whole partnership who have worked hard to make the Northern City Line project a success".
