HOW A CHINESE FASHION BRAND FOUND INSPIRATION IN GUIZHOU Once known as a low-cost manufacturing hub for international fashion brands, China has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade. Today, homegrown brands are redefining global fashion by drawing inspiration from their own rich cultural heritage. Recently, we had the privilege of guiding a group of executives from one of China’s top clothing brands on a discovery trip to Guizhou, where they explored the region’s deep-rooted traditions and exceptional craftsmanship. In the heart of Guizhou’s mountains, the team delved into the region’s centuries-old textile techniques, gaining firsthand experience of textile production. Through immersive, hands-on activities, they explored the intricate artistry that continues to inspire modern design: 🔹 Hands-on Learning: Experimenting with Dong-styled dyeing techniques, using natural bean dyes to create unique patterns and textures. 🔹 Artisan Connections: Engaging with Miao craftspeople, renowned for their meticulous craftsmanship in creating the exquisite Hundred-Birds-Clothes, a garment rich in folklore and symbolism. 🔹 Cultural Immersion: Experiencing a Dong-dye themed dinner, where beautifully dyed fabrics adorned the venue, setting the stage for a memorable evening featuring Guizhou’s signature dish—fish in sour soup. These experiences weren’t just about learning techniques, they were about uncovering the stories woven into every fabric—how tradition, craftsmanship, and sustainability intersect to inspire modern design. #WildChina #ChinaMICE #TeamBuilding #VisitChina #CorporateServices #BusinessTravel

  • Sustainability is becoming a bigger focus for our corporate clients, with many asking about eco-conscious options when planning events in China. We take this seriously, making sure sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—minimizing waste, using eco-friendly materials, and supporting local communities to create meaningful and responsible gatherings. China is moving toward a more sustainable future in many areas, including aviation. China Airlines is leading the way, recently earning the Future Proofing Strategies award at The Aviation Challenge (TAC) for its low-carbon demonstration flight, which used 20% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and achieved carbon neutrality. As sustainable air travel becomes more accessible, it’s easier than ever for companies to plan events that align with their environmental values. #Aviation #WildChina #Sustainability #MICE

  • The city of Xi’an has been selected to host the 22nd Routes Asia in 2026, a leading air service development event in the Asia-Pacific region. This recognition not only underscores Xi’an’s growing role in international aviation but also highlights its rising prominence as a destination for international events, business, and leisure. Once the eastern gateway of the ancient Silk Road, Xi’an is home to iconic landmarks like the Terracotta Army and six UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city’s rich cultural influences—from ancient Han Chinese traditions to Silk Road-era Islamic architecture—create a remarkable blend of history, art, and cuisine. Beyond its rich history, Xi’an is stepping into the future, rapidly transforming into a modern transport and business hub. Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is now one of China’s busiest, with recent expansions paving the way for four-runway operations, capable of handling up to 83 million passengers annually. With an expanding network of international routes, Xi’an offers seamless access for business travelers from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This increased connectivity, combined with world-class infrastructure and a vibrant cultural scene, makes Xi’an an attractive destination for organizations looking to combine business with cultural exploration. Whether considered on its own or alongside cities like Beijing or Shanghai, Xi’an offers a distinctive environment for meetings, conferences, and business gatherings. #WildChina #MICE #Xian #Aviation #RoutesAsia

  • In celebration of the start of 2025, we partnered with our client Colliers International at their customer appreciation event in Shanghai, bringing together 200 attendees. While we carefully planned and managed every detail of this gathering, it also provided the perfect opportunity to showcase our GUDAO series. GUDAO, meaning “ancient trails” in Chinese, brings new life to forgotten routes that once connected commerce, culture, and pilgrimage. Similar to Europe’s El Camino, GUDAO showcases the cultural and historical richness of China’s trails, blending environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and collaboration with local communities to create meaningful travel experiences. It is an ongoing project WildChina continuously work on, developing new routes. During the event guests were introduced to three distinct trails: • Beijing’s Jingxi Ancient Trail – A Journey Through Fragrance: Inspired by the incense routes of Jingxi, guests explored the art of incense-making, reflecting both spiritual pilgrimage and cultural craftsmanship. • Zhejiang’s Songyang Ancient Trail – Herbal Wisdom: A local herbalist from Songyang guided attendees in blending traditional medicinal teas, a tradition rooted in the region’s mountainous communities. • Guizhou’s Miao and Dong Trails – Living Heritage: Artisans from Guizhou’s ethnic minority groups, dressed in stunning traditional attire, shared their rich heritage through batik-making, displays of intricate clothing, and performances of the soulful Dong Grand Songs. Members of these communities joined us at the event, offering guests an authentic, firsthand glimpse into their traditions. Their presence, combined with the immersive presentations, brought the ancient trails to life. More than just a gathering, the event symbolized our commitment to connecting people with China’s cultural heritage and inspire efforts to preserve it for the future. #WildChina #MICE #TeamBuilding #GUDAO
