2024 marked another year of remarkable success for IMAP - International Mergers and Acquisitions Partnership, and as a proud member, INVERLINK takes great pride in what has been achieved. Our partnership with IMAP empowers us to connect with a robust network spanning over 50 countries and more than 450 investment bankers worldwide. This collaboration enables us to provide our clients with unparalleled growth opportunities by combining deep local expertise with a wide global reach. In 2024, IMAP dealmakers closed 252 M&A deals valued at over US $30 Bn, along with 60 Debt Advisory transactions worth more than US $4 Bn. Despite challenges like inflation and high interest rates, improving economic conditions and declining interest rates have made the dealmaking environment more favorable. By the end of 2024, the M&A market showed clear signs of recovery, with IMAP closing 71 M&A deals in Q4 alone. More than a third of IMAP transactions in 2024 were cross-border, with significant activity in the Industrials, Business Services, Technology, and Consumer sectors. IMAP advisors report substantial deal pipelines going into the new year, supported by strong corporate profits, an aging owner base seeking exits, and the need to integrate new technologies. En INVERLINK nos sentimos orgullosos de ser parte de iniciativas que crean país y contribuyen a nuestra sociedad. Desde el 2001, hemos sido socios fundadores de Compartamos Con Colombia (CCC), una corporación sin ánimo de lucro que actúa como vehículo estratégico de responsabilidad social para 16 firmas de servicios profesionales, incluyéndonos. A través de este modelo multifirma, CCC busca generar un impacto real que aporte al desarrollo social de Colombia.   Este año, Compartamos con ha logrado hitos significativos, realizando 99 proyectos que lograron impactar 19 departamentos y 31 municipios de Colombia, y llegando por primera vez a diferentes estados de Venezuela.   En INVERLINK, estamos comprometidos con la construcción de un futuro mejor para Colombia, por eso es motivo de orgullo para nosotros haber apoyado al fortalecimiento de 6 organizaciones este año. Recientemente recibimos a Luis Fernando Nieto, Presidente de la Junta Directiva de Asocolflores y CEO de Agroindustrial Don Eusebio SAS en nuestras oficinas. Luis Fernando nos compartió su profundo conocimiento sobre el mercado floricultor, un motor clave del sector agroindustrial del país y su evolución a lo largo de los años. Nos habló sobre el posicionamiento de Colombia en el mundo como uno de los principales exportadores de flores, destacando las diversas variedades que producimos y exportamos.   Luis Fernando nos explicó las diversas variedades de flores que se producen y exportan en Colombia, así como el impacto económico significativo del sector, que genera más de 200.000 empleos y contribuye de manera importante a la economía nacional. Fue un gran honor para nosotros haber estado en la Universidad de Los Andes para el homenaje a INVERLINK y a nuestro socio fundador y gran amigo Felipe Encinales por el aporte al programa de becas Quiero Estudiar. Nos enorgullece profundamente haber contribuido al diseño y creación de este programa, que brinda acceso a educación superior de calidad a personas talentosas con limitados recursos económicos.   En 2016, con motivo de la celebración de los 30 años de INVERLINK, decidimos participar activamente en el programa mediante una donación, lanzando así el Programa de Becas INVERLINK Quiero Estudiar, enfocado en apoyar a estudiantes que quisieran cursar carreras afines al área financiera. Ver cómo este programa ha beneficiado a miles de estudiantes desde su creación es una gran satisfacción para nosotros. Es particular motivo de alegría ver como estudiantes talentosos y perseverantes como Laura Pacheco y Nicolle Orjuela aprovechan esta gran oportunidad, trabajan por desarrollar su pleno potencial y se van abriendo camino en su vida profesional honrando así el legado de Felipe Encinales. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty, a positive shift ahead is anticipated, driven by expectations of lower interest rates, strong corporate profits, and an aging owner base seeking exits.
