In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, SHPE Out Loud is highlighting influential members like Diana Iracheta who found herself as the lone Latina in many of her college mechanical engineering classes. Seeking connection and community, she created the online persona Latina Engineer, which has grown into a powerful platform with nearly 25,000 followers on Instagram, a registered 501c3 nonprofit, and an annual conference drawing over 800 attendees.

PREVIOUS SURVEY'S RESULTS!
Last week's poll on how people primarily consume news and information received a total of 1,238 responses. Podcasts and/or YouTube channels emerged as the most popular with 27.2% (337 votes), closely followed by social media at 25.9% (321 votes). Traditional news outlets like TV and newspapers came in third with 23.7% (294 votes), while online news websites received 23.1% (286 votes) of the responses. Surprisingly, these results show dedicated news sites overtaken by traditional news outlets! 📰📻💻
