Fredericksburg, Virginia, September 20, 2023 - Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s Board of Trustees voted at their September 11 meeting to reinstate Fredericksburg Branch hours on Tuesdays from 9:00-1:00, Salem Church Branch on Thursdays from 9:00-1:00, and to keep Porter Branch open on Wednesdays from 5:00-8:00.
Porter Branch Wednesday hours have already been reinstated to 9:00-8:00.
Fredericksburg and Salem Church branches will reinstate the additional hours for FY24 beginning the week of October 2.
- Fredericksburg Branch Tuesday hours will be 9:00-8:00.
- Salem Church Branch Thursday hours will be 9:00-8:00.

The Board authorized a one-time use of the library's fund balance to cover the FY24 budget shortfall. As a result of this decision, no additional monies are being requested from any of the jurisdictions in support of the FY24 budget. For more information, see Understanding the Library Budget.
