Segundo post importante del día: *******CONVOCATORIA ************ Danta Fund oficialmente abrió la 3er convocatoria para startups de #agritech de #Latam Los siguientes son los requisitos de aplicación: -que tu startup sea de agritech (agtech) -que tu startup se encuentre en etapa pre-semilla o semilla (1era o segunda ronda institucional) y tenga una valoración máxima de USD$10MM -que tu startup resuelva un problema actual en el mundo de la agricultura -que tu solución pueda eventualmente ser llevada a venderse en Estados Unidos -que tu solución pueda aplicarse Business to Business -que tu solución tenga un impacto positivo en el medio ambiente -que como founder, estés soñando con vender tu startup y ya tengas una idea de quién podría comprártela. We have two announcements this week! This post is dedicated to the first announcement. Our Managing Partner, Galit Flasterstein, has signed a SAFE agreement to invest in Unibaio, while at Danta Fund we await for the fund to be incorporated in Delaware. Once our fund is incorporated, this investment will be assigned to Danta Fund. We are so excited to welcome our very first startup to our Danta portfolio. Matias Figliozzi, Daniela Caprile, Claudia Anahi, Vera Alejandra Álvarez and Maria Florencia Salcedo: welcome to our Danta Family! First time Danta Fund participates in a Demo Day with #brazilian #startups only! Thank you Mastera and its founders Tainan Lamas and Rafael Vivian for the invite. The collaboration of Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" and FEALQ - Fundação de Estudos Agrários Luiz de Queiroz was key. Latin America is not only Spanish Speaking Latam, nor only Brazil: we can collaborate as a region. Congratulations to all the startups that were brave to pitch today. Looking forward to more talks.

Last year´s last Danta Fund newsletter (subscribe below in first comment) mentioned our plans to ally with insurance companies and banks to understand how best to back farming with technology. RISK MANAGEMENT: that is one key element we will be looking at in startups this 2025.
