"I started painting when I was as young as seven years old. My journey began with crayons, and over the years, I explored various mediums such as watercolor, charcoal, pastel, oil painting, and now, acrylic. Each medium brought its own unique challenges and joys, allowing me to express myself in different ways. Painting has been a significant emotional outlet for me. It has helped me relieve stress and taught me the importance of patience. This lesson in patience has been invaluable, especially in my professional life. Managing client deliveries and team performance requires a calm and patient approach, and painting has equipped me with these essential skills. In addition to personal growth, painting has also allowed me to connect with my colleagues. I organized a few DIY painting sessions as part of our employee engagement program. These sessions provided a fun and creative break from our hectic schedules and tight deadlines, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. For Ellen, Infosys BPM was #LoveAtFirstSight—its stunning campus, incredible people, and unforgettable experiences made it feel like home. “Many things impressed me, but the stunning campus stood out the most. The friendships I made along the way made me feel like I was part of one big, happy family. From the very beginning, I was captivated by Infosys' breathtaking campus. The beautiful surroundings made coming to work feel like a treat. I fell in love with the people I work with. My forever best team consisted of British nationals, and I was the only Indian. It felt like the lone curry in a sea of fish and chips! I cherished every moment with them—the camaraderie, the jokes (especially the humor), the cultural clashes and learnings, the parties—just about everything. It was an incredible experience. Plus, I learned to appreciate tea breaks, master the art of queuing, and even pick up their accent! My current team is just as exceptional.
