Role Expectations

As an AI & Data Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for indexing, chunking, and vectorizing databases.
• Connect data sources to AI services like Microsoft AI (ChatGPT) and configure them for querying.
• Design, implement, and manage the process for asking preset questions against data sources and parsing AI responses.
• Integrate AI responses into external systems using Azure Logic Apps or similar automation tools.
• Stay current with the latest developments in data engineering, AI, and cloud services, including new features, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Foster your professional growth through official certifications

Required Experience

• AI and Machine Learning: Familiarity with AI services like Microsoft AI (ChatGPT) or similar, and experience in integrating these services into workflows.
• Data Engineering: Proficiency in data indexing, chunking, vectorization, and processing. Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehouses.
• AI Framework: Examples of platforms include Symantic Kernel and LangChain, Promptflow, etc.
• Data Pipeline Management: Experience using Azure Data Factory to integrate various data sources
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and Function Apps
• Automation Tools: Experience with automation and integration tools such as Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or similar.
• API Integration: Strong understanding of API development and integration, including RESTful APIs.
• Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, specifically with services related to AI and machine learning.

Preferred Experience & Knowledge

• Familiarity with NLP: Understanding of natural language processing techniques and their application in AI models.
• Microsoft Azure Certification: Certification in Microsoft Azure, specifically in AI or data engineering, would be a plus.
• Experience with SQL and data warehouse technologies.
• Microsoft Azure certification, particularly in AI or data engineering, is a plus.
