🌊 Two tons of waste collected by over 300 by volunteers in Pafos Harbor Cleanup! 🚮 We found 67 car and truck tires! 🛞 On October 26, Pafos Harbor hosted its largest cleanup campaign, celebrating volunteerism and community spirit! 🎉 Organized by the Cyprus Ports Authority in collaboration with AKTI, the American University of Beirut - Mediterraneo, Cyprus University of Technology, PAFOS FC, ,Atlantas Academy, Aiantas Academy, and Cydive Paphos, this day brought together over 300 volunteers. 🙌 250 students from local universities and children from sports academies teamed up with 50 divers, fishermen, and water polo players to remove around two tons of waste from both the underwater and beach areas. 🌊 Among the debris, we found 67 car and truck tires and large metal scraps! 🚗 As part of the event, AKTI also held the 2nd SeaTecHub-EU Blue Café, bringing together fishermen and divers to explore blue technologies relevant to their work and discuss barriers to their adoption. 💡🐟 👏 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Pafos Harbor cleaner.
