A great General Assembly past week, 22-24 October, for the consortium of SmarterEPC project co-funded by the LIFE Programme ! It marked the 3rd meeting in person since its kick-off in October 2023, meaning we are in the core phase of the project 😎 Very fruitful exchanges were lead by our coordinator, Sophie Dourlens-Quaranta - R2M Solution France Team on ongoing activities like: 📌 The #SmarterEPCHub, a unique online platform under design by Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) with the support of R2M Solution. The Hub addresses EPC and SRI assessors in making the best out of EPC and SRI tools derived from EU-funded projects, like #SmartReadyGO! powered by Smart Square Project, the #SRI2MARKET one, as well as the tools by SmartLivingEPC, D2EPC, easySRI and the methodology offered by U-CERT PROJECT 💻 📌 Existing policies and practices on EPC and SRI to certify a building in each EU Member States. For EPB Center the goal is to be 100% aligned with the EPBD IV requirements in the near future. On EPC we start from the #EPCAtlas, set up by Euphyia Tech LTD. Visit it already now: https://lnkd.in/dGVsWk_r We also coplanned upcoming activities, like the #training of assessors lead by EPB Center, the #qualitymanagement process to guarantee consistent EPC and SRI results by R2M Solution and #validation of the advanced EPC and SRI tools in a selection of real buildings across the EU, by DEMO Consultants BV with Caverion and #OpsisResearch. Last but not least: we have been hosted in the enchanting Delft NL! Thanks again Mija Sušnik and the wonderful team of DEMO Consultants BV for the nice meeting! 😊 Sophie Dourlens-Quaranta Cecile Barrere PhD Igor PEREVOZCHIKOV Inès Elisabeth Kahin Paraskevas Koukaras Nikos Tsalikidis Andrei Vladimir Lițiu Paris Fokaides Sara Momi Christos Pampidis Michela Zabaglia André van Delft, MSc Mija Sušnik Davide Calcinari Ansidei Aleksi Vuorenmaa Sofia-Natalia Boemi Stavros Spyridakos CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency #smartbuildings #energyefficiency #EPBDrecast

🏢 Buildings are one of the largest sources of #CarbonEmissions, and it’s clear that we need to act now to reverse this trend. While #BuildingRenovation is a long-term and costly process, there is a faster, smarter solution: 💡 leveraging #smart technologies to control #energy consumption. That's where the #SmartReadinessIndicator (SRI) ✅ comes into play. #SRI helps evaluate how #buildings can use smart technologies to optimise #energyefficiency, enhance comfort, and improve overall performance—without the high costs and complexity of full-scale renovations. 👉 To help you navigate this game-changing approach, the SRI-ENACT project is hosting a series of 5️⃣ webinars. These sessions will cover everything you need to know about the SRI, from theoretical insights to practical building #assessments. Who should attend? ✔️ Anyone passionate about driving #sustainability and #innovation in the #building sector ✔️ Professionals looking to understand this soon-to-be mandatory framework ✔️ Individuals considering becoming future SRI auditors ℹ Register now: https://bit.ly/3MTHhnP #SRIENACT #SRI #EnergyEfficiency #SmartBuildings #Sustainability #SmartReadiness #SRIauditor #GreenBuilding

Today, we are at the Smart Readiness Indicator 2nd Joint Event to discuss the current state of development on the SRI topic. At R2M Solution R2M Solution France, we are committed to creating connections between research and the market. The challenges of the new EPBD, such as the SRI and BLoG, are crucial for the coming years. But what is the SRI? The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) is an indicator introduced by the European Union to assess the "smartness" level of buildings, meaning their ability to adapt to the needs of occupants and interact with energy networks, thereby improving energy efficiency and indoor comfort. The SRI measures a building's ability to use digital and automation technologies to optimize energy management, integrate renewable energy sources, and enhance the quality of life for users. It is calculated based on criteria such as the management of heating, cooling, lighting, ventilation, and the ability to interact with the electrical grid. The goal of the SRI is to encourage the adoption of smart solutions and promote more sustainable and flexible buildings, contributing to the EU's energy transition towards a low-carbon future. If you are interested in this topic, let's get in touch! Thank you to all the partners we are working with on these topics!
