A malicious Android app called "SpyLend," disguised as a financial app named "Finance Simplified," has been found on the Google Play Store, targeting users in India. This app tricks users into downloading malicious software that steals personal information such as login credentials, SMS, contacts, and even clipboard data. The app uses deceptive tactics like posing as a loan service and then redirects users to download malicious APKs. Alert: Crypto-stealing apps! Malicious apps disguised as legitimate ones have been found in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These apps, downloaded over 242,000 times, use "SparkCat" software to steal cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases through OCR. 18 Android and 10 iOS apps are affected.
