TUS Airways Achieves Milestone by Joining IATA! TUS Airways is proud to announce it has become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a significant milestone in the airline's growth and commitment to excellence in the aviation industry. This follows the successful completion of the airline’s first ever IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification earlier this year, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety, security, and operational efficiency throughout its operations.   Joining IATA, the trade association for the world’s airlines, represents a pivotal achievement for TUS Airways. This membership will provide the airline with access to IATA’s extensive expertise on global industry standards, best practices, as well as cutting-edge safety and security protocols.   “We are thrilled to become an IATA member,” said Ahmed Aly, CEO of TUS Airways. “This membership underscores our dedication to providing our passengers with the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service. By joining IATA, we are reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and contributing to the global aviation community. This milestone not only strengthens TUS Airways’ operational capabilities but also reflects its strategic vision of growth and excellence in the global aviation sector.”   “We are delighted to welcome TUS Airways as IATA’s 334th member and the 126th in Europe,” said Rafael Schvartzman, IATA’s Regional Vice President for Europe. “We look forward to supporting the continued development of the airline through a wide array of services and initiatives. TUS Airways contributes to Cyprus’ air connectivity, which is critical for an island country. Their joining our Association will further help build a wider, more comprehensive membership base, leading to better industry representation, and to help us shape the even safer and more sustainable aviation of tomorrow.”   As an IATA member, TUS Airways will benefit from: - Enhanced Safety and Security: Access to IATA’s safety and security standards, ensuring the highest level of passenger and operational safety. - Operational Efficiency: Integration with IATA’s operational frameworks and procedures to enhance efficiency across all facets of the airline's operations. - Global Connectivity: Participation in IATA’s global network, facilitating smoother connections and collaborations with other international airlines. - Advocacy and Influence: A platform to engage in the global aviation dialogue and contribute to shaping industry policies and regulations. #TUSAirways #IATA Willie Walsh #FlyTUS #AirlineIndustry #AirlineExcellence #IndustryLeadership

This week marked a bittersweet moment as one of our most esteemed Captains (and one of the most experienced pilots in Cyprus) - Cpt Apostolos ‘Lakis’ Prastitis - completed his final flight before retirement from active flying duties.   Throughout his illustrious career, Cpt Lakis has not only exemplified unparalleled professionalism, but has also been a beacon of inspiration for aspiring aviators in Cyprus and beyond. His dedication, expertise and unwavering commitment to safety have left an indelible mark on our airline and the aviation industry as a whole.   While we will miss his commanding presence in the cockpit, we are thrilled that he will continue to be an integral part of the TUS Airways family as Director of Training. In this capacity, his wealth of experience and passion for aviation will undoubtedly enrich the development of our future pilots, ensuring that our standards of excellence soar even higher.   Cpt Apostolos (Lakis) Prastitis - Congratulations on your exceptional service and a well-deserved milestone. Here's to many more successful journeys ahead, both in the air and on the ground!   #TUSAirways #AviationExcellence #CaptainRetirement #DirectorOfTraining #FarewellFlight
