🔬 Did you know that MU Faculty of Science is opening its unique Master's program in Microscopy for the second time? #brnoregion has long been a global hub of electron microscopy — and now anyone fascinated by the microscopic world can get involved. Why should you care? 🔸 Connecting science and practice: The program includes excursions, internships, and collaboration with industry leaders (Thermo Fisher Scientific, TESCAN , Delong Instruments, onsemi) and researchers from CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology or the Akademie věd České republiky. 🔸 Companies in Brno and beyond are constantly on the lookout for microscopy specialists. 🔸 Brno boasts over 75 years of research and development in electron microscopy. How can you help? 📣 Spread the word about this program in your network — among colleagues, interns, or acquaintances who might be interested in exploring the world of microscopy. 📅 Applications are open until the end of April 2025, and the program itself will launch in the 2025/2026 academic year. Translating research into real-world applications is absolutely crucial 🔑—that’s where research truly finds its purpose 🎯. At #brnoregionmicroscopy, we recognize this significance, which is why one of our key activities is technology transfer 🔬. We held our very first meeting of “Commercialization Ambassadors” 🤝—a group of 11 dedicated volunteers who will help identify promising projects and talented people within our community to drive real-world impact 🌍. What did we cover? • Introduction to the Commercialization Ambassador concept 🤔 • The “ambassador minimum”: essential know-how 🧩 • A model commercialization scenario 💡 • Open discussion and experience sharing 🗣️ The atmosphere was fantastic 🎉, and we’re already looking forward to our next gathering! ✨ This year, the founder of electron microscopy in Brno, Prof. Ing. Armin Delong, DrSc., would have turned 100! ✨ Thanks to his pioneering work, Brno has become one of the world’s microscopy capitals. 🎂 Did you know that the very first Czechoslovak electron microscope was developed in Brno’s labs? And that the “tabletop” BS242 microscope won a gold medal at expo 58 in Brussels, propelling Brno onto the global stage of science and research? 🔬 Professor Delong led the Institute of Scientific Instruments for many years and, with his tireless dedication, trained generations of experts.
