Natural bathing biotope was awarded in the "Central Bohemian Region Building of the Year 2023" competition. The natural bathing biotope in Kosmonosy Czech Republic, designed and constructed by Stream, s.r.o. and Stream Clean Water, s.r.o., won the Special Award for the "implementation of the leisure area" category. The self-cleaning water reservoir, a natural biotope, was built on the site of a long-term unused swimming pool in 2022. The connection of the bathing and regeneration parts on a total area of 3,000 m2 is unusual. The original concrete foundations are partially recognized and new structures of organic shapes are built on them. The leisure terraces, walking bridge to the island and the pool walls are covered with Millboard Golden Oak composite decking boards and serve as seating at the water's edge and as walkways. Millboard boards are pleasant to walk on barefoot. The surface is not slippery even when wet and does not form splinters. The decking boards were supported by aluminum joists with plastic core. These made it possible to bridge large gaps in the supporting structure of the steel bridge and also to create the overhanging parts of the walkways on the concrete walls.
