🎓 This Wednesday marked the grand finale of the fifteenth prestigious #ITSPY competition organised by Profinit. Celebrating innovation and excellence in IT, this year's competition highlighted 56 exceptional projects selected from over 1,400 theses defended at 16 leading 🇨🇿 Czech and 🇸🇰 Slovak universities, with the seven most groundbreaking projects advancing to the finals. The final day took place in the historic refectory of 🏫 Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. The event drew finalists, their families, and friends, as well as influential figures from public administration, professional organisations, partner institutions, and Milos Cermak, who excellently managed the role of 🎤 host. And now for the results: 🥇 The absolute winner is Michal Marhan from the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics at the Prague University of Economics and Business, who focused on developing an ML model for speech-to-text conversion, specially tailored for Czech aviation communication. Michal also received the Raiffeisenbank AI award. Last week marked the success of one of the largest AI events this year, the #AIHotSpot conference organised by Profinit! Let’s take a closer look at the highlights 👇 🚀 The amazing day began with the keynote “How to Succeed with AI” by Petr Vaclav from Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated, followed by Tomas Kratky, who shared his 10+ years of experience working with #data in Fortune 500 companies. Next came a presentation by Filip Linek from FLAE ROBOTICS a.s. and Petr Pascenko from Profinit, featuring the unveiling of the robotic receptionist BE-A. The first part of the #conference ended with a 🎤 panel discussion on building the foundation for business transformation, featuring Petr Vaclav, Tereza Ondroušková from Raiffeisenbank Česká republika, Marcel Pochert from Berenberg, and Tomas Kratky. 🏦 The second part of the event began with a presentation on #AI implementation in CSOB by Martin Münch. Philipp Söchtig then explained how #ArtificialIntelligence helps Berenberg effectively implement parts of the #DORA regulation. Tereza Ondroušková spoke about integrating #IT and #business to achieve success at Raiffeisenbank, and Karel Svrček presented an AI digital advisor from Česká spořitelna. This was followed by a second panel discussion on connecting 🏫 academia with 💼 business, featuring Lukas Mazanek from Raiffeisenbank, Pavel Kordik from Faculty of Information Technology CTU in Prague, and our very own Bohumir Zoubek. 🛠️ The conference also featured two workshops led by our colleagues from Profinit. The first, by Petr Pascenko, covered AI model evaluation and showcased our product EvalMy.AI. The second, by Michal Paulicek, focused on using copilots in #SoftwareDevelopment, including practical examples of their application in real-world projects. The event concluded with the prestigious 🏆 #AITalents competition, where five student finalists presented their projects. The Audience Award went to Teodor Beneš for his video analytics project for Prague Airport, while the Jury Award was claimed by Jiří Macháček for his project on using language models in storytelling games. ☝️ And that’s not all! In addition to the main programme, the conference featured a side attraction: the six-legged 🤖 robot Daisy, which can navigate rough terrain inaccessible to wheeled machines. Just send Daisy into the unknown, and she’ll bring back a map of places where only the boldest dare venture! S͟u͟m͟m͟a͟ ͟s͟u͟m͟m͟a͟r͟u͟m͟: AI HotSpot was the biggest event we’ve ever organised at Profinit, and we’re thrilled to report it was a resounding success. It was a unique occasion to showcase our expertise, build new connections, and solidify our position as a leader in AI solutions! 💪

How to bridge the gap between #IT and #business, identify valuable AI use cases, and make AI accessible to all employees❓ Tereza Ondroušková, Raiffeisenbank Česká republika's AI Transformation Officer, will explore these topics at the #AIHotSpot conference. Her presentation will cover the key aspects of leading #AI transformation, strategies for driving organisational change and fostering a digital mindset across the company. With more than 20 years of experience in #finance and a deep understanding of #DataAnalysis and #ArtificialIntelligence, Tereza is in charge of building the AI Centre of Excellence team at Raiffeisenbank and supervising the AI transformation of the organisation. 🏃♂️ RUNNERS FROM PROFINIT BACK ON TRACK! #TeamProfinit achieved great results at the 9th annual 𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅-𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐍! We competed on both the 10km and half marathon courses, and also in relay races: Our Milos Madron, teamed up with his running partner Sylvie Hrádocká, clinched 🥇 first place in their category, Dominik Janata shone on the 10km course with a time of 50:17 and the fastest Profinit runner on the half marathon course was Filip Sochor with a time of 1:29:45 💪 Over 2,000 runners registered for the races, with 931 competitors lining up at the half-marathon start and 478 conquering the 10km course. Thank you to all the participants for a great representation! 😊 #halfmarathon #running
