As you can see, even the toughest or stickiest materials can be pulverized with the help of extreme cold, generated by liquid nitrogen. It's easier than in this video with our specialists, e.g. the CryoMill or the MM 500 Control 🥶👍

Lena and Holger at Chocotec: A journey from cocoa bean to chocolate 🍫 Retsch accompanies the entire process of cocoa processing - from the bean to the finished product - with a focus on quality control applications. We are a proud sponsor of Chocotec, an event focusing on the science and technology behind chocolate.   Dr. Lena W. presented the challenges associated with the processing of chocolate to the international audience. As a result, we had many interesting discussions at our stand afterwards. It was particularly interesting for the visitors that our mills could be used directly at the stand for small preliminary tests. We look forward to making even more chocolate lovers happy with our expertise and equipment in the future! ZDS - Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenwirtschaft e.V.

🌿 Innovative and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Manufacturing 🌿 We at Retsch GmbH are excited to highlight the latest research results on the mechanochemical synthesis of rac-Ibuprofen:Nicotinamide co-crystals on a kilogram scale! As a co-crystal, the active ingredient shows significantly increased bioavailability. The study, conducted by Jan-Hendrik Schöbel, Frederik Winkelmann, Joel Bicker and Michael Felderhoff, presents an environmentally friendly and efficient method that surpasses conventional solution-based processes. Using the Retsch drum mill TM 300, 3.2 kg of co-crystals were produced in just 90 minutes with a purity of 99%. This method reduces energy consumption and minimizes environmental impact as hardly any solvents are used. The results show that drum mills, which are widely used in various industries, can also be used for the large-scale production of pharmaceutical co-crystals. This opens up new possibilities for sustainable industrial manufacturing processes. The trace element analysis of the product showed minimal metal contamination, especially for Al and Fe, which were well below the regulatory limits for daily intake. Another plus for choosing the TM 300 over other mills like Eccenter Vibratory Ball Mills. A special thanks goes to our partners at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung for their support and collaboration. Together, we are shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing! #Pharma #Innovation #Sustainability #Mechanochemistry #Research #SDG
