When dreams come true... Something that was just an idea in the beginning came true on this unbelievable scale. By the way, Kamila Hrubanová presenting the Brno bid in a dress with a pattern from a fluorescent microscope by Brnoregion Microscopy start-up SciCanvas (Maria Zlobina and Sepideh M Koubjari) illustrates perfectly the comprehensive togetherness and synergies of our #community. I promised some #EMC2024 backstage stories, so here is one: 🎲 Boardgame story 🎲 "We have these dice. Could we give them as a price to the EMC quiz game?" asked Pavel Sedláček, showing me intricately machined pieces with a special surface treatment, showing some of the many capabilities DI industrial spol. s r. o. offers. And because I am a suicidal overachiever, I came up with the idea of a Brnoregion Microscopy Boardgame in response. And because Brnoregion Microscopy is a fantastic #community full of enthusiastic fans of #microscopy and #science, we achieved unbelievable: involving tens of volunteers, in just three weeks, we designed, developed and produced two prototypes of a board game about #brnoregion and its #innovation ecosystem - that's 2x: 🎲 1 board (actually a canvas) 🎲 4 unique duralumin anodized pieces 🎲 140 cards with questions about Brno, its life, science, microscopy and community 🎲 ... well, and the dice. As usual, the outcome and the whole process were just fantastic! We are considering producing a batch of these games as BM merchandise. If we do so, will you want one?
