We are opening the doors of our laboratories in SILON CZ R&D and introducing another key test that verifies the performance of our products in specific applications - the hot set test. The hot set test is essential to verify the thermochemical and thermoelectric properties of our materials, especially in applications such as cables, pipes and insulation 🔬. The accelerated hot set test is performed by exposing samples to 200°C or 250°C in water for two hours. We then test how the material reacts - whether it retains its original form - by subsequent temperature loading in the oven.
