PORTFOLIO SPOTLIGHT: Celebrating Two Years of Delta Green’s Vision—and Four Months of Proteus Making an Impact 🌱⚡️ Two years ago, Jan Hicl, David Brožík and Lukas Benes set out to transform the energy sector. Today, their platform, Proteus, is already delivering real results for households, helping them save and earn more on energy costs. Also, Prokop Čech has joined the core team. As proud investors, we’re thrilled to support Delta Green in pioneering smarter, more profitable energy solutions for households and to see the team continue to grow. Here are a few highlights from the past few months, as shared by Jan: 📊 Enhanced Returns for Solar Energy In the last three months, solar installations managed by Proteus have earned an impressive €0.07/kWh on average—105% of the spot price. By contrast, similar systems without Proteus averaged €0.04/kWh (60% of the spot price), showing the clear value Proteus brings to the table. 🔗 Increasing Compatibility for Inverters At launch, Proteus supported only one inverter brand, but it’s now compatible with three leading brands (Victron, Solax, GoodWe). 🌐 Unlocking New Earnings with Grid Balancing Proteus is moving quickly to open new earning opportunities for households by involving them in grid balancing—and not just in the Czech Republic. Our co-founder Petr Vitek recently spent several days in Ukraine, witnessing firsthand how the country is fostering a thriving ecosystem for startups. The depth of talent is impressive! Through initiatives like Diia City—offering favorable taxation, flexible labor policies, strong IP protections, and modern investment tools—Ukraine is establishing itself as a leading hub for tech innovation and growth. 🔶 IT Arena: Petr participated in a panel discussion on the "Strategic Implementation of Impact DNA and ESG in Tech Products," highlighting how integrating impact principles can create real value for Ukrainian startups and SMEs, fostering innovation and supporting recovery both during and after the war. He also served as a judge for the Startup Pitch Finals. 🔶 Invest in Bravery: Petr engaged with the Ukrainian startup community to build actionable partnerships. He joined the panel, "The Investor’s Perspective," alongside Dylan Hardy and Marharita Horokhova, and co-led an “Investment Readiness” workshop for startups with Ryan Grant Little.
