AM POLYMERS GmbH, headquartered in Willich, Germany, is a supplier of plastic powders for powder bed fusion additive manufacturing and especially for laser sintering. Since 2013, various materials have been developed and produced. Based on more than 10 years of experience in the field of additive manufacturing, six high-quality plastic powders have been developed so far. These are characterized by very good powder properties, easy processing and very good resulting mechanical part properties. Through detailed processing recommendations, a plug-and-play character of the materials is achieved. The ROLASERIT PP03O is a newly developed polypropylene grade with more than 200 % elongation at break. Compared to other laser sintering materials it offers very high ductility, which enables for several new applications. The presentation shows the performance of this material and giving information on processing of that material on different machines.

    AM POLYMERS GmbH celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2024. Once again this year, we are exhibitors at Formnext in Frankfurt. We have moved to Hall 12.1 this year: You will find us at booth C28. We are presenting our wide range of plug & play plastic powders for laser sintering and high-speed sintering. Our portfolio now covers 30 products from 9 different polymers such as polyamides (PA6, PA66, PA12, PA11), polypropylene, HDPE, PBT and TPU. We offer black variants for all materials for processing with fiber lasers. Additionally, there are carbon fibre-filled and glass-filled as well as flame-retardant materials to achieve better mechanical properties or corresponding flame resistance. We are offering a new PA11 variant PA11-01-FR for the first time as material with flame retardancy in accordance with UL94 V0 at wall thicknesses of 1.2 mm, which can also be refreshed and is easy to process. Furthermore, together with our partner BlueSky Polymers, we have developed the first PEI that can be processed using laser sintering and has inherent flame retardancy and high strength. This material can be processed on all systems with a temperature limit of up to 210 °C.
