Today we highlight and support the World Food Safety Day. Inspiring action to help prevent and manage food risk whilst supporting food security for human health and economic prosperity. This year’s theme underlines the importance of being prepared for food safety incidents, no matter how mild or severe they can be. Food safety incidents are situations where there is a potential or confirmed health risk associated with food consumption. A food incident can happen, for example, due to accidents, inadequate controls, food fraud or natural events. While being ready to manage food safety incidents requires dedicated efforts from policymakers, food safety authorities, farmers and food business operators, consumers. A robust traceability system, crisis management team, incident management procedures and annually performed recall tests are some of the responses AMB deploys to be prepared for the unexpected. 📆 Our Team joined Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing and Engineering Management students at the University of Udine. AMB experts engaged with interested students of Sustainability Supply Chain Management and Innovation Management and discussed with them our vision in sustainability, environmental, social and governance projects, displaying how sustainable practices can be integrated in a profitable and efficient strategy. AMB has introduced some company case studies that answered to specific topics students covered during their course like Operation strategy, Green products and sustainable design, Green procurement and purchasing, Green facilities. With this project we would like to demonstrate how new generations can contribute to develop innovative improvements and be aware of the importance of these issues, ensuring a sustainable and impactful approach.
