What a fun Event! AMPHOS GmbH and #TrumpfPhotonicComponentsAachen participated at this years #“AachenerFirmenlauf”. 483 companies and 7038 individual runners made this event to a great success. It is always a pleasure to see colleagues spending time together beside the office and lab 😊 Congratulations to all our runners and the organization. our 9.9km team finished with an overall 13th place. A special word deserves Arvid Hage with his impressive 9.9km time of 35:53,8 and the 5th place. We are pleased to announce the start of #XProLas The research project with more than 10 project partners focuses on investigating and building laser-driven X-ray sources for improving e-car batteries. AMPHOS develops a new high power ultrashort pulsed laser system with world record parameters which will be the pump front end for the future shaping X-ray source. The XProLas research project aims to create a compact, high-brilliance X-ray source for analyzing the cathode material of electric car batteries. The material from which the cathodes of electric car batteries are made is of central importance for the performance and reliability of electric vehicle batteries. The exact composition of the cathode material can only be determined using X-rays. The compact, laser-driven variants can also replace large-scale research facilities in this field of application. Manufacturers of cathode material can thus speed up their development work. The laser serves as a so-called upstream beam source in the generation of X-rays. Laser pulses hit the so-called target, a metal such as gallium, indium or tin. Finally it starts! We announce together with our partners the start of the future shaping "MEGA-EUV" project. AMPHOS GmbH is cooperating with the Universität Hamburg, Class 5 Photonics , Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY and partners from the semiconductor industry as part of the "MEGA-EUV" project. The aim of the project is to develop a high-performance, extreme ultraviolet (EUV) beam source for the inspection of microchips. The project is being funded by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung as part of the program “Neuartige photonische Werkzeuge für Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft” (new photonic tools for economy and society). The goal of this funding initiative is to support the transfer of innovative research results in the key technology #photonics and thus making important contributions to innovative strength and competitiveness as well as to overcoming social challenges in the areas of health, digitalization, and sustainability.
