Türen auf für Talente aus der Informationstechnologie 👨🎓👩🎓 Heute Abend fand das Netzwerk-Event der Begabtenstiftung Informatik Karlsruhe im FZI statt. In lockerer Atmosphäre stellte Vorstand Stefan Nickel den Studierenden die Forschung und Themen des FZI vor. Prof. Ralf Reussner begrüßte für die Begabtenstiftung die Gäste und bot den anwesenden Unternehmenspartnern die Möglichkeit, sich kurz vorzustellen: Matthias Grund und Stefan Schürle von andrena objects ag, Helena Sicko von EnBW, Christian Popp von grenke, André Lehmann von Exxeta (per Videobotschaft) sowie Achim Baier von arconsis. Unsere FZI-Teammitglieder Adamantia Goulandris und Benjamin Çoban luden anschließend zu einem Rundgang durch das FZI House of Living Labs ein. Die Forschungsumgebung wurde insbesondere für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen geschaffen, die branchen- und anwendungsfeldübergreifend für Forschung und Entwicklung zur Verfügung steht, und bot den Gästen damit die perfekte Gelegenheit, die Anwendungsforschung des FZI live zu erleben. Karrierewege und aktuelle spannende Forschungsfragen standen im Fokus beim anschließenden Networking. Hier tauschten sich die Partner*innen der Begabtenstiftung Informatik sowie FZI-Wissenschaftler*innen mit den Studierenden aus. Vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten für den spannenden Abend!

Last week, arconsis once again donated Advent calendars to the children of the ARCHE Karlsruhe und Bretten✨ The ARCHE in Karlsruhe and Bretten is a non-profit organisation supporting children in emotional and financial need since 2012 in Karlsruhe and since 2019 in Bretten. Its mission is to offer hope for a better future, regardless of background or family circumstances. We are pleased to be able to make at least a small contribution to this worthwhile cause. The children were very happy about the Advent calendars - of course because of the chocolate, but also to know that someone is thinking of them. I am happy to share that Lars Gavris and I had the privilege of presenting at the online conference "Generative AI for Developers" hosted by InfoDays this Tuesday! Our session, "Anonymous and Secure: The Future of AI Usage with De-Identification," focused on how to anonymize prompt content before sending it to LLMs, ensuring they don’t process or retain Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Finally back in the lecture hall! End of September our colleague Adrian Wörle opened Prof. Fuchß' course "Software-Architecture" with a talk about architectures at the Hochschule Karlsruhe (HKA) / University of Applied Sciences. He explained how to bridge the gap between theory and practice and pointed out how important software architecture is in the field of software engineering. Adrian demonstrated this by applying a robust and scalable architecture to a Flutter project, much like he did earlier this year at the Flutter Heroes conference in Turin. This year's B2Run season 2024 is officially over for us. Last week some arconsians took on the challenge of the 5.6 km course which ended at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. Once again we were charity starters in support of DKMS! A big thank you to all arconsians who support the fight against blood cancer! We are proud of all arconsians who participated and made the day a great success! We had a great time in Frankfurt and are looking forward to the next B2Run 2025. 🏃♂️🌞 What a day! Five kilometres in glorious sunshine - last Tuesday, the arconsis team gave it their all at the B2Run Stuttgart. After a great run, we rounded off the day together with a well-deserved (of course non-alcoholic) beer. 🍻 Once again, we were charity starter of DKMS! It was a truly honour for us to be fully involved – just as DKMS fights blood cancer with full commitment every day! We are so proud of all the arconsians who took part and made this day a roaring success! 👏 We had an amazing time at the B2Run in Stuttgart and we can't wait for the next one!
