🤖 Algorithm or AI - easily confused! We use algorithms every day - tax calculators, route planners, search engines. They follow fixed rules step by step. No learning. No adaptability. But artificial intelligence (AI) is different. It learns, adapts, and evolves. IBM’s Deep Blue learned to beat world chess champions! Just possible with AI. CAPTCHA distinguishing humans from bots? Simple algorithm. Why do we confuse algorithms with AI? 💭 Lack of knowledge: Many don’t see the difference between static algorithms and adaptive systems. 💭 Marketing hype: Products get labeled "AI-powered" even if they use basic rule-based logic. 💭 Mystique of complexity: Hidden processes feel more intelligent than they are. Let's be honest - it's tricky! Product recommendations such as “Customers also bought” in many online stores: No AI! Only static rules. 🤨 But Amazon's ultra-personalized recommendations? AI! 🧠 🔍 The real risk It’s not just confusing algorithms with AI - it’s when we can’t tell artificial from human intelligence.
