🏗️ Tough timing: Installation of a heavy duty coil transport crane at voestalpine in #Linz. All in all, the plan is to do the job in 6 days, from start of mounting to handover. After day 2 of install, the crane is now completely assembled and ready for wiring and power on. After commissioning during the next days, load test and SAT is set for Monday morning, as well has handing the crane over to production. ⚙️ Process crane retrofit in press shop successfully completed in just 2 weeks! The crane is now equipped with a cutting-edge #Siemens Safety PLC and modern drive technology, an #igus energy chain as well as state-of-the art sensors for positioning made by #sick.   A standout feature of this project is the implementation of Sinamics S120 drive technology to recover braking energy and feed it back into the grid, resulting in a remarkable 45% energy saving compared to the old system.   This upgrade not only enhances efficiency but also significantly improves safety in production processes. Many more to come in the next years for this costumer with a framework contract for 20+ more such retrofits.
