🌐 Discover the Future of Networked Medical Technology! 🌐 We are proud to present our interactive exhibit on the trustworthiness of connected healthcare systems at the COSMO Science Forum in Dresden. Our exhibit explores the three essential pillars of secure medical technology: Data Protection, IT Security, and Operational Security. Visitors can: 🔹 Follow the data exchange between a pacemaker and the cloud. 🔹 Trigger malfunctions or simulate network disruptions. 🔹 Understand how sensitive medical data is protected through anonymization and pseudonymization. 🔹 Experiment with typical cyberattacks on medical devices in a safe, educational setting. These complex topics are brought to life with playful elements, vivid visualizations, and interactive features designed for all age groups. Visitors can also share their views in an opinion barometer—the insights will be reviewed and discussed by our researchers after the exhibition. This exhibit was developed as part of the SEMECO project, where we are researching the development of a secure and trustworthy digital platform for medical microsystems. Curious to learn more? Visit the exhibit at COSMO Science Forum or explore the details on our website: https://lnkd.in/d2ZNDp6D. The exhibition "Dr. Zukunft - Medical Technology from Dresden Science" has been designed for science enthusiasts of all ages from 12 years and upwards. It is free of charge and can be visited from Tuesday to Thursday between 1 pm and 6 pm. #COSMOScienceForum #COSMOWissenschaftsforum #trustworthiness #ConnectedRoboticsLab © Barkhausen Institut

Our researcher Dr. Nilanjana Das is going to attend the 17th IEEE International Symposium on Embedded Multicore/Many-core Systems-on-Chip (MCSoC 2024) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 16 to 19 December. She will present the paper “Hardware Attack Models in Tiled Chip Multi-Core Processors: A Survey” on 17 December at 2:40 pm in Room-B. The paper focuses on Hardware Trojan (HT) attack models on Tiled Chip Multi-Core Processors. Hardware Trojans are malicious alterations made to genuine designs to alter the actual functionality of an Integrated Chip (IC). To come up with an HT detection procedure, it’s important to know about possible HT attacks that can be incorporated in an IC. This survey presents a solution by evaluating the most recent HT attack models in Tile Chip Multi-Core Processors (TCMPs), which are processors consisting of several interconnected units that work together to perform tasks more efficiently. The paper emphasizes the targeted platform and the supply chain’s risk level. Finally, a discussion on the findings follows. The HT attack models are classified according to the targeted platforms in TCMP, like processors, caches, network interfaces, routers, and virtual channel allocators. The MCSoC is a well-known conference in the field of embedded systems. It provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, industry experts and government policymakers to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in embedded systems and ICs design for emerging applications and sustainable development.
