This innovative solution makes it possible to jellify oils, making them easier to apply and more transparent, especially in cold processes. But that's not all! Annika will discuss how thixotropic oleogels - those that change viscosity under shear - present challenges to conventional viscosity measurement. She'll explore how advanced oscillatory rheometers can provide a detailed analysis of the viscoelastic behaviour, helping to better characterise the viscosity and galenic properties of oleogels. 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗸: 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 - 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿! Annika Groenick started studying chemistry after graduating from high school. However, she soon realized that just studying was not enough and she wanted to get more practical experience. She gained valuable experience in research and development through an internship in the laboratory, where she assisted students with their exam preparation, and later as a member of the quality assurance team. Her career took her to Harke, where she spent eight years in quality management, production planning and customer support from the initial product idea to market readiness. She also managed the plant's compliance with all regulatory requirements and performed safety assessments. During this time, Annika realized that she particularly enjoyed taking care of customers, so from 2018 she has been able to focus more on customers in her work at Brenntag as Business Development Manager. Annika joined Berg+Schmidt in 2021 and started as Technical Sales Manager. In 2022 she took over the responsibility for Business Development in Asia. Variety? No problem! In 2023, Annika moved directly into product management. Her first big challenge? Launching the new BergaSun UV filters. ☀️ A project that involved all departments at Berg+Schmidt and in which she was able to apply all of her professional experience. With her broad perspective and can-do mentality, she always finds it easy to fit in. What does Annika like most about her job? "The combination of networking and my love for chemistry, the opportunity to actively shape the company, exciting international travels and a reliable team that supports each other and is great fun to work with.” Variety is not only a motto in her professional life - Annika is also always on the move in her private life! In 2020 she discovered kitesurfing: "Your mind is freed when the wind and waves demand your full attention.” 🏄♀️🪁 We are incredibly happy to have Annika on our team.
