Is a Deepfake Detection Certification available? 🤔 Not yet! 🚫 As deepfake detection is still an emerging technology, rapid advancements are happening every day. But while certification isn't available yet, individual testing and close collaboration with vendors are essential. Finding a trusted and dedicated partner is key. At BioID, we've been actively researching real-time deepfake detection in photos and videos since 2020 in Nuremberg. We're proud to be part of the FAKE-ID project — a collaboration between vendors, universities, and government groups, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Our involvement focuses on leveraging our proprietary anti-spoofing technologies and biometrics expertise to develop AI-driven deepfake detection software. The FAKE-ID consortium's goal is to create a robust tool that not only detects deepfakes but also supports legislative frameworks and remote identity verification. We're committed to ensuring this technology is ethically sound and respects individuals' rights. .
