Finally releasing the new FirmwareCI documentation: https://lnkd.in/eGwNis6M I am extremely proud of the BlindSpot Software GmbH team for releasing the new fwci tool and making setting up FirmwareCI as easy as: fwci init That's it (mostly). Over the course of the last months we worked very hard to simplify our FirmwareCI tooling as much as possible and integrate everything as "Configuration as Code" - essentially what you would expect from a modern CI system. We still have a truckload of features in the pipeline by #firmware #testing just got way easier. Looking forward to roll this out to our customers and get their early feedback on the new structure.

I am proud that we are one of the very first adopters of BINARLYs Binary Risk Hunt and have it integrated into our CI/CD tooling #FirmwareCI. TPM GPIO Fail: A recently discovered vulnerability in Host #firmware enables unsealing secrets from the #TPM. Short run down: Most Intel Corporation devices in the wild right now are not correctly locking down the configuration of PCH pins which enables attackers to reassign those pins to other functionalities through the operating system. That enables potential attackers to control the TPM and unseal secrets from it. The overall question is - Why does this happens so often? The simple answer: No proper #testing. Firmware is lacking proper test framework that are enabled as part of the CI/CD pipelines to catch those security holes and secure millions of devices.
