The second round of Application Training on the D8 VENTURE METALJET system at the University of Sussex was a great success. 🔬 This high-performance system, featuring a METALJET source and full automation by the SCOUT robot, is now in expert hands. Mark Roe, the X-Ray crystallography lab manager, has mastered the SCOUT automated operation, allowing the School of Life Sciences to maximize their system's potential. This means around-the-clock measurements on protein and chemical samples are now possible! Acquired by Prof. Richard Layfield a year ago, this system supports a multi-facility cooperation to measure inorganic, organic, and medicinal/biomedical crystals.
